Cooling Pad

The Evaporative cooling pad is a core component of the negative pressure ventilation system in the breeding chicken house. It is mainly installed at the side wall or inlet of the poultry house. It is using the principle of water evaporation and heat absorption,naturally cool the fresh air after entering the poultry house by 4-10°C. Usually match with push-pull fans or FRP fans to form complete ventilation and cooling system.

Working Principle

The cooling pad working process is completed in "wet curtain paper". When the fan start working and form negative pressure, outdoor air will enter the chicken house through the cooling pad. The surface of the cooling pad is continuously wet by circulating water. When the air pass through the wet curtain, the water will evaporates and absorbs heat, reduce the temperature when the air entering the poultry house.

1: How much degrees will the evaporative cooling pads reduce?

Depending on the different air humidity, it is generally lower the temperature by 5–12℃, if in dry areas,effective will be more significant .

2: Will the cooling pad must be used with exhaust fan?

Yes. The evaporative cooling pads need negative pressure fan to create airflow to achieve cooling effect.

3: How long do the evaporative cooling pad need to be replaced?

Under normal use, usually use 3-5 years. Regular cleaning can extend its lifespan.

4: Does the cooling pad have any required about water quality?

For long time use, we suggest that use clean water,if add a filter will avoid clogging the evaporative cooling pad's openings.

5: Which type climates does the evaporative cooling pads suitable for?

It is particularly suitable for hot and dry area,and also effective in hot and humid area, but the cooling effect is slightly less.
