Feed silo is an important parts of feed storage and feeding system in chicken farms. It is outdoor storage device designed for bulk feed specifically for large-scale farms, mainly used for storing pelleted feed. Their material usually is high quality galvanized steel or fiberglass, which is corrosion-resistant and anti-aging, and can withstand long time exposure to sunlight, rain, and ammonia erosion. The top of the silo is sealed to prevent moisture, and bottom is conical for smooth discharge. It is usually work with feed line system (chain feed line or disc feed line) to achieve safe, continuous, and stable automatic feeding.

1: How to choose the capacity of feed silo?
Normally feed silo capacity is selected according to the farm scales, daily feed consumption, and replenishment frequency.
Common configuration can meet 3–7 days' needs, we can provide selection advice for you based on farm scale.
2: Does the feed silo and feeding lines supplied together or need to purchase separately?
It’s all ok.
For new projects, we suggest that use complete feed silo + feeding line for high compatibility and more stable operation.
If renovation of existing farms, feed silo or feeding lines can be replaced separately based on the existing equipment.
3: How to transporte the equipment?
Feed silo is transported in separate units, the tower body, support frame, and feed hopper packaged separately, suitable for container shipping. Feeding line system is packed in modular parts for easy loading, unloading, and transport.
4: Does the installation is complex? Do we need professional person ?
The feed silo is not complex.It has reasonable structural design, and installation process is also not difficult.
